Alberta is a province in Canada, part of Western Canada and one of the three prairie provinces. It is bordered by British Columbia to the west, Saskatchewan to the east, the Northwest Territories to the north and the U.S. state of Montana to the south. Its capital is Edmonton, and the 2021 census recorded a population of 4,368,370 across an area of 661,849 square kilometers.
