Kentucky, officially the Commonwealth of Kentucky, is a landlocked state in the Southeastern region of the United States, bordering Illinois, Indiana and Ohio to the north and Missouri to the west along the Ohio River. Admitted to the Union in 1792 as the 15th state, its capital is Frankfort.
