Georgia lies in the Southeastern and Deep South regions of the United States, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. It was the fourth state to ratify the Constitution, in 1788; its capital and largest city is Atlanta.
