Nebraska is a state in the Midwestern region of the United States, bordering South Dakota to the north, Wyoming to the west, Colorado to the southwest, Kansas to the south and Missouri and Iowa to the east across the Missouri River. Admitted to the Union in 1867 as the 37th state, its capital is Lincoln.
