The largest and deepest of Earth's oceans, stretching from the Arctic in the north to the Southern Ocean, and bounded by Asia and Australia to the west and the Americas to the east. It covers more area than all of Earth's land combined and holds the Mariana Trench, the deepest known point in any ocean.
